Hello From Camp
This summer marks eleven summers I have been going to camps to tell kids about Jesus. It’s my very favorite time of year. After the oddness and isolation of 2020, this summer has felt especially sacred. I’m writing to you from Camp Rivercrest in Nebraska where I’m parked for the week after 2 weeks and 2 camps in Montana. While I’m tired (and very ready for my own bed) my heart is incredibly full and encouraged. God is on the move in kids! A pandemic hasn’t stopped that, in fact, I would venture to say that kids are even more hungry for Jesus.
Every time I speak I give kids an opportunity to respond to God by writing a note to Him. Because of where kids are developmentally, I find they are often able to write what they are thinking and feeling much easier than they can verbalize. If you follow me on social media you may have seen some of the notes I’ve shared. Just in case you aren’t on social media, or in case your day needed an uplifting moment let me share some of these sweet notes with you here. Be encouraged!
